Upright Citizen

During my more frequent alert periods, I have been spending more time upright. This is good for my development. Here I am po(i)sed for a photo op, but when my parents hold me in a sitting position I work on holding my heavy head up. So far, my record is around fifteen seconds. It's tough growing these muscles, but I get stronger every day.

Family Photo Op

Thanks for this one, Auntie Lelayna!

Up and Up...and Up!

Got weighed again today -- 7 POUNDS 1 OUNCE!!! I gained 8 ounces in one week. Woohoo! (Must have helped that I nursed for over six hours yesterday on and off...)

Crocodile Tears

That's what usually comes out when I'm crying -- nothing. But yesterday and today during a crying session a single tear came out. I can make real tears now! Of course, my parents will probably have a hard time watching me once I start crying tears for real...

Waking Life

I am much more awake and alert than before. My parents like when I'm awake and not fussy.

Auntie and Uncle AL

Uncle Alex and Auntie Alaine stopped by yesterday. Some day I will play Rock Band at their house.

Uncle Joe McCullough

Don't I look so small next to my parents' friend Joe?

My parents met because they both were friends with Uncle Joe. I know he can't wait to tell me tall tales and trick my fragile, child's mind into believing outrageous things using his clever mind.

Ram Uncle Revisited

Walkin' the Walk

Went on a walk with my parents, Ram Uncle and E-ma. I like sleeping on these walks while I take in the scenery.

The Latest Attempt

My mama was at it again. Here's her latest attempt to get her favorite face.

She got very close, as you can see below. I think she's building a strategy and will meet with success very soon.

Baby Acne

Did you know that babies get acne? Some say it's because of hormones. Whatever it is, I've got pimples on my cheek and chin. Happily, it doesn't make me less cute, but I do hope for a smoother complexion in the near future.

Waaa!

This pouty little face is the one I make when I do my sing song cry -- A-Waa!
Sadly, my parents think my face and my cry are sweet. They do things like say, "Look how cute!" and take pictures while I'm trying to express my unhappiness.

I Can SEE!!!

My eyes are still developing, but I am starting to be able to focus a bit better. I can look into my parents' eyes for a few moments at a time.

The Guys and Me

The guys came over for ONE rehearsal, and I gave them lots of smiles. Then I slept through rehearsal, even though they're really awesome. Check them out at ReverbNation!

A Birth Story...in Pictures

Here's a video my mama made of my birth. These are just some of the photos from the birth set to Sade's "Sweetest Gift." In the song, she talks about the moon, so it's kind of fitting. My mama went in to labor the night of the full moon, and I was born as the sun was rising and the moon was still in the sky. Plus, the last line is "I'll always remember this moment"...and of course my parents cherish the memory of my birth. (This was my mama's first attempt at making an iMovie, so give her the benefit of the doubt please.)

Growing, Growing, Growing

I seem to be experiencing a growth spurt. I'm nursing all the time when I'm awake, and slept over 5 hours in a stretch yesterday and woke up every hour to hour and a half today. I'm fussier than usual, too. I'm trying to grow here...and not just in chub!

Another Face Flipbook

It all started with a sneeze...
For you, Lelayna : )

The Yeti

My mama has a favorite face I make that is as elusive and undocumented as the Abominable Snowman. Here's a recent attempt to capture this favoritest of faces...
Don't my cheeks look huge? That's right, people. I'm on my way to 7 pounds...all cheek!

I Am a Chubbykins!

We saw Meredith again today to get weighed. If you will recall, people were wanting me to be back at my birth weight by two weeks. I was at 5 pounds 14 ounces at two weeks, so I was a bit off. I was 5 pounds 15.5 ounces at the pediatrician the next day. When I got weighed today, though, I was 6 pounds 9 ounces. WOOHOO! I have extra chins and chubbier cheeks and lots of new rolls forming. My parents are so happy! I am happy to oblige by eating lots all the time. Once I get to 7 pounds I will stop being weighed so often because my chub will be apparent to all who feast their eyes on me. : )

Post Nursing Burp Session

After I nurse with my mama, my daddy burps me. Here are some of the faces I make when I'm chillin' on my daddy's shoulder.

And finish off with a BIG yawn...

My Thumb

Sometimes my thumb is able to find it's way to my mouth. I'm still not really good at it, but I can suck my thumb every once in a while.

My SnuggleWool

My parents got me a wonderfully warm, wool bunting made by Snugglewool. I love my Snugglewool!
