I came up with some new dance moved in the last couple of weeks. Now that I am stronger and more coordinated, I can pick up my feet for things other than walking; I can pick them up just because I want to! I seem to only be interested in "dancing" with my left foot. This video was taken at my Ajitmam's house, but a couple of days ago I busted out another new move in which my arms and feet move independently to their own rhythms. I was quite pleased with myself.
Also, yesterday morning I woke up and sang my mama a song, not just a ditty of random notes as in the past, but a little melody that had a clear beginning and end. She was so surprised she barely caught enough of it to sing back and so forgot it. She will be more prepared next time so we can sing and play together -- making music! She hopes to keep some of these early songs of mine. We'll see what kind of chance she gets.
I am loving music in general, though. For a week or so now, I have zoned in on one instrument in particular that I like to play and hear. It is made of three solid metal bars, cylinders, tied to a wooden base. You have to have a stick to play it, so if I don't see a stick with it I have to go find a stick. Yesterday my mama found the stick behind the gate and helped me get it through the little crack. I took the stick to go play, but I saw that it was the wrong end up -- in case you don't know, you have to hit the bars with the head of the stick instead of the handle. I turned the stick around quickly and deftly, and struck the bars to hear those beautiful tones, ringing ringing ringing ringing ringing...............
